Being part of the Faculty of Philology at the NKUA (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) the Lab is currently promoting research on the field of Digital Humanities.

The Lab's main objectives are described as follows:

• • Manuscrripts and Ontologies
• • Ontology Based Palaeography and Critical Editiong
• • Monolingual (Greek or Latin) and Bilingual (Greek and Latin) Text Corpora
• • Manuscript Encoding (Transcription and Annotation, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics)
• • Contribution to Research Programs in Terms of Excellence and Innovation
• • Collaboration and Partnership with Institutions and Companies
