Για την αίτηση στο Πρόγραμμα Υποτροφιών You and Europe δεν απαιτείται γνώση της γερμανικής γλώσσας. Οι αιτήσεις γίνονται στα Αγγλικά. Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες υποβάλλουν χωριστή αίτηση στο Πανεπιστήμιο της επιλογής τους, το οποίο ενημερώνει για τις γλωσσικές απαιτήσεις του εκάστοτε μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος.

The new You and Europe Scholarship Programme is conducted by the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung F.V.S. in cooperation with the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). The scholarship is aimed at European students who wish to complete their entire master's programme at a German university and have a strong interest in European exchange. This is a call for interest from students who could be starting a master’s programme in Germany in autumn 2026.

The scholarship programme is open to the following countries in the next round: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Ireland, Kosovo, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.

The programme is open to students of all disciplines at universities and universities of applied sciences (except students at colleges of art and music and those at universities of applied sciences pursuing studies in the visual and performing arts, design, film and music). Students who have already completed their higher education entrance qualification or a Bachelor's degree in Germany are not eligible for a scholarship. Furthermore, it is only open to students who have achieved above-average results in their previous studies and who have shown outstanding commitment to their studies (10-15% top performers of the year). The scholarship includes the following benefits:

 - Need-based monthly scholarship, ranging between EUR 300 and EUR 1,155 plus additional benefits (e.g. health insurance subsidies, family allowance, etc.) for the standard duration of a master’s degree course. Extensions may be requested in duly substantiated cases.
- Two annual network meetings on European subjects with all You and Europe scholarship fellows. The costs of accommodation, meals and programme fees will be covered, travel expenses will be subsidised.
- Inclusion in the Studienstiftung’s peer programme. On request, Studienstiftung will identify a Studienstiftung scholar in the university town who will act as a direct contact for new arrivals, offering on-site guidance and support.
- For students from EU countries and EU accession countries, admission to the Studienstiftung’s scholarship programme.

To apply for the programme, students must first be nominated by a university professor. The deadline for nominations is 4 February 2026. The deadline for submission of all application documents is 23 February 2026.
